What is Lymphatic Massage Therapy?
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized, gentle technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system to remove waste, toxins, and excess fluid. Unlike a traditional deep tissue massage which focuses on muscles, MLD focuses on the skin and the superficial lymph vessels just beneath it.
Because every body is in a different stage of health, we offer four distinct therapies tailored to your specific goals:
Full Body Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Designed for non-surgical clients. This is a "total body reset" that targets systemic inflammation, boosts immune function, and helps with water retention from travel, hormones, or illness.
$125.00 for 60 Min $165.00 for 90 Min
Face-Only Lymphatic Drainage
A targeted 75-minute treatment focusing on the head and neck. This is the gold standard for lymphatic drainage massage after facelift surgery or for those suffering from chronic sinus congestion and puffiness.
$115.00 for 75 Min
Initial Post-Op Session
This is our most comprehensive service. It is a 90-minute medical assessment and treatment designed for those fresh out of surgery. It combines MLD with a review of surgeon notes, garment fitting, and a recovery roadmap.
$185.00 for 90 Min
Follow-Up Post-Op Sessions
These sessions focus on the "heavy lifting" of recovery. Depending on your healing phase, we integrate Wood Therapy, Gua Sha, and Heat Therapy to break up scar tissue, prevent fibrosis (hardness), and smooth out surgical contours.
$125.00 for 60 Min

Everything You Need to Know Before Your First Session
1. How much is a lymphatic drainage massage?
Our specialized sessions start at $125. Initial Post-Op consultations are $185 for a comprehensive 90-minute assessment and treatment.
2. Does insurance cover lymphatic drainage massage?
We are a private pay facility to ensure personalized care. However, many clients use their HSA/FSA cards for treatment.
3. How often should you get a lymphatic drainage massage?
For post-op (lipo/tummy tuck), we typically recommend 2–3 sessions per week during the first 2 weeks. For maintenance, once a month is ideal.
4. What to wear to lymphatic drainage massage?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. If you are post-op, please bring your compression garments and any foam pads.
5. Does lymphatic drainage massage hurt?
Absolutely not. It is a feather-light technique. If it hurts, it isn’t true MLD.
6. What to eat after lymphatic drainage massage?
Stick to clean, anti-inflammatory foods. High protein and low sodium are key to preventing fluid from returning.
7. Is lymphatic drainage massage worth it?
Ask our clients! Most see an immediate before and after difference in swelling, comfort, and visible contouring.

Kamaka's knowledge and understanding of how connective tissue influences pain makes her a superb option for pain management. Dana Williams2024-10-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kamaka is a miracle worker! She is extremely knowledgeable about the human body and how it works. She is definitely a master of her craft! I'd give more stars if I could! George Spriggs2024-09-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Phenomenal. Professional. Effective. Do happy I found Makalani LM Therapy. The change has been incredible. Faran Riley Peterson2024-07-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. For years I have suffered with lymph edema only to be told by doctors to wear compression socks. But the swelling wasn't just in my legs and feet, it was in my whole body. Summertime is especially brutal for me. Kamaka had me in for a consultation and treatment. She taught me so much about my lymphatic system and how it has to be drained. Once the treatment began I could feel the fluid in my limbs circulating. When the treatment was done my legs looked how a normal person's legs should look. But not just my legs - my belly wasn't swollen, my arms looked skinnier and my neck and face are significantly more defined. It's incredible! I weighed myself the morning of my appointment wondering if I might lose some water weight from the treatment. The next morning I weighed 5.2lbs less. Only downside is, my engagement ring is loose! Heidi Bristol2024-01-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kamaka is fantastic. She is knowledgeable and professional and gives an amazing massage. I recommend her to people all the time Nikki Crisp2023-08-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been seeing Kamaka for almost 4 months for Myofascial Release and Massage therapy and she has forever changed my life! I recommended her to my husband as well and we’ve never felt better! Derrick Lewis2023-08-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had rotator cuff surgery a few months ago and now I’m going to physical therapy and Makalani Lymphedema & Massage Therapy was suggested to me and I thought I’d give it a try. I had some pain, but the area where the tendon was reattached was REALLY sore. I’ve had two Myofascial Release Treatments and the results are AMAZING. Not near as much soreness and the pain is is nearly gone, not to mention my body as a whole feels GREAT. I would really recommend this treatment if you’re post opt, having pain from arthritis, or feeling physically drained. There has been extreme attention paid to cleanliness, the website is easy to navigate, and making appointments is a snap. Malia Ott2023-05-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kamaka is such a gifted healer. I found her after a surgery when I needed Lymphatic Drainage Massage. Her LDM work is incredible. I’ve continued to go to Kamaka for LDM as well as her other healing practices, most recently for Myofascial Release. My husband, son and I have been relieved of all sorts of sports injuries, etc under her hands. I’m healthier and happy with her in my life. A gifted healer and a gift to all she encounters.
